2nd Announcement |
This is a second announcement for the conference on “The Surface Composition of Mercury from Ultraviolet-Visible-Infrared Spectroscopy: State of the Art and Future Strategies” to bring you an up date and a reminder of deadlines.
The main rationale of the workshop is to stimulate the community to develop strategies for effective and timely interpretation of the reflectance and emissivity spectral data in terms of mineral composition and geologic significance.
-Mercury Geology -Ground Observations in the Vis-IR and thermal -Messenger Results (MASCS, MDIS, GRNS; elemental composition) • Methodologies and interpretative tools: -Laboratory simulation -Surface Weathering -Radiative transfer and surface photometry -Classification -Spectral Analysis -VO, data archiving -Geo-referencing and mapping Presentations We plan to have invited (30-40 minutes) and oral (15 minutes) talks. Poster presentations are also encouraged. Abstracts Abstracts should be prepared as half page summaries, using the abstract template available at this link. Abstracts (preferably in Word) should be submitted via e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it The deadline for abstract submission |
